Welcome to Akanfuo Ammamerɛ Fie (the “Site”), a digital platform dedicated to exploring and preserving the history, culture, and legacy of the Akan people. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site, including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through it.

By accessing, browsing, or using the Site, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy (incorporated herein by reference).

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Site.

These Terms apply to all users of the Site, including, without limitation, visitors, registered users, contributors, and others who access the Site (“Users”). The Site is operated by Akanfuo Ammamerɛ Fie (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the Site, and the “Effective Date” at the top will be updated. Your continued use of the Site after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. We may terminate your access if we discover you do not meet these criteria.

Use of the Site

The Site is intended for educational, informational, and cultural purposes, providing content on Akan history, migrations, empires, colonial resistance, arts, and related topics. Users may: Browse, read, and download content for personal, non-commercial use.

Participate in interactive features, such as quizzes, timelines, forums, or submitting personal stories/art (subject to moderation).

Share content via social media or links, provided no modifications are made and proper attribution is given (e.g., “Courtesy of Akanfuo Ammamerɛ Fie”).

Prohibited uses include:

Termination

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or Site use shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Accra, Ghana, and/or Ontario, Canada. You consent to the jurisdiction of these courts.

Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder remains in effect.
